It was late 2004, my new friend Matt (miss you bud, hope you’re well. Thank you.) and I were drinking Arizona iced teas from 711 in his basement that was perpetually stuck in the 70’s, multicolored / textural carpet and all, and talking about music. I remember him putting on records from RJD2, Morphine, and Aesop Rock, and I was thrilled. Then he put on Saetia, Jeromes Dream, Neil Perry, and Orchid. My mind was blown. I was confused. I was intrigued. I was locked.
This was a pivital point in my young adult life, and a point that changed me for the better for the future. Orchid was a catalyst for something. In one way or another this band has shaped the way I approach art, creativity, writing, photography, etc. So to say being able to be here for this show and document it was special, would be a massive understatement.
Thanks eternally to Orchid, Sean from Loma Prieta / Jeromes Dream for the invite, and Dan Ozzi for inviting me to have some photos company his interview with Jayson Green. To have my work attached to this band in any capacity at all is a dream. Love.

You say you miss those days
But we did it right, right?
